تختهاي الكتريكي كه در آنها بيمار بر روي يك تشك يا بالشت پر شده با هوا, آب, ژل يا ديگر مواد مناسب قرار مي گيرد. اغلب آنها در برابر هوا و بخار آب نفوذپذير بوده ولي در برابر مايعات غير قابل نفوذند. اين تختها براي درمان بيماراني كه داراي ريسك متوسط يا زياد ابتلا به زخم بستر هستند و بيماراني كه وضعيت كلينيكي آنها احتياج به بالا بردن سر, جابجايي مكرر, انتقال و/يا حركت دارد استفاده مي شود.
